Belgrade, 9 May 2006: Students of Belgrade Business School celebrate the anniversary of Europe.

On Europe Day, on Tuesday, 9 May 2006, in cooperation with the Serbian European Integration Office, Belgrade Business School held a Conference titled “A Stake for the Future” in its premises.

The Conference speakers were:
PhD Jovo Jednak, Assistant Director for R&D of BBS
M.S. Gordana Dostanic, Director of Belgrade Stock Exchange
PhD Gordana Ilic-Gasmi, Representative of SEIO
Jelica Minic, Representative of SEIO
PhD Sokol Sokolovic, Academician
Budimir Jovanovic, Advisor to the Federal Minister for Internal Economic Relations
Jela Bacovic, Director of SEIO
PhD Dragan Cosic, Moderator and Master of Ceremonies

Director of Belgrade Business School addressed the students and the attendants at the Conference with the following words: “On the day when the entire Europe celebrates its anniversary, Belgrade Business School has thrown its door open to the future. It is the privilege of the employees of Belgrade Business School and my personal happiness as School Director, to look at the future every day. The future will inevitably win. A stake in the future, and economists know that, is a good investment. By this gathering, we wanted to enable our students, primarily, and then our young colleagues, to acquire knew knowledge and, in some way, to give them the opportunity to begin with their good investments. I wish them not to rest content with the European space only, and not to disregard that part of their selves into which the Serbian tradition has been woven. Preserving their specific values, customs and language, the young people should feel in Europe as at home. As we all jointly share the values of European Union, I congratulate you on the today’s European holiday”.

Considering the importance and actuality of the topic, this Conference was attended by the representatives of state authorities, diplomacy, chambers of commerce, businessmen and journalists.
